'Sacre Coeur Snow'

A large scale scale oil painting of the sacre coeur in paris in snow.

A large scale scale original oil painting of the sacre coeur in paris in snow.

'Sacre Coeur Snow' by Peter Davies. Original large oil painting on canvas.

A large scale oil painting on stretched canvas of the Sacre Coeur in Paris captured in early morning winter sunlight against a menacing winter sky. Snow lies on the ground, and the building is lit by sunlight breaking through the winter cloud cover. I wanted to capture the beautiful bright masonry of this iconic building glowing against a contrasting background.
