'Late Sun'

'Late Sun' by Peter Davies. Original oil sketch on paper.

An original oil sketch of a sunset viewed across a peaceful field in the middle of summer, golden light illuminates the horizon silhouetting a copse of trees against the horizon. A path leads us into the field towards the trees, and the possibility of being caught in a shower. The painting is intended to capture the tranquility and beauty of the countryside at a certain point of the year.
