A large scale oil painting of a riverscape featuring the play of sunlight on a river on a late summer's day before the sun dips below The horizon. The painting is designed to create an image of tranquility and peace, where you can get lost in your thoughts when you need a moment out of your day. Late summer light dances on the surface of the river with the suns reflection shimmering in the golden light. The painting is supplied unframed, I personally don't believe it needs a frame, but that is just a matter of taste. I hope the tranquility of the image brings a little peace to a corner of a home where someone can take a moment out of their day to look in to it. I love painting landscapes, and riverscapes in particular are a real favourite as they offer many opportunities to create abstract shapes and reflections in a very challenging way.
