'Autumn at the River'

'Autumn at the River' by Peter Davies. Original oil painting on board.

An original oil painting of a vibrant tree by a river rapidly turning red as the summer ends and autumn arrives. The tree is illuminated by warm late sunlight that catches the top half of the tree whilst casting the lower half in shadow.I was attempting to capture a tree in autumn, at a very beautiful stage of the year.
