'The Pond at Hampstead'

'The Pond at Hampstead' by Peter Davies. Original oil painting on board.

I've always loved Hampstead, in particular I've always found the heath to be very beautiful. This lanscape oil painting is of the pond at Hampstead painted in the summer, when the trees are green and the sky is blue, with lots of beautiful reflections to paint in the water. The painting attempts to evoke a calming atmosphere in a very beautiful part of London.
