An original oil sketch of a winter scene deep in snow with a very heavy foreboding sky after the first snowfall of the season. Fields are blanketed in deep snow, tracks of vehicles pass into the distance. The atmosphere is still and muted as what looks like more snow is surely about to fall. This snowscape attempts to capture the bleak beauty of the countryside frozen in winter.
