'Early Evening at the Canal'

'Early Evening at the Canal' by Peter Davies. Original oil painting on board.

An original oil painting on board of a tranquil moment overlooking a canal at sunset. The scene is illuminated by the last rays of sunlight, with the sun reflected in the canal water creating a very peaceful scene. I was attempting to represent the glow of the evening sky, and how it reflects in water at dusk.
